One of the most pesky things you will have to deal with during a photoshoot, is lighting! Now now, don't worry it is not as hard as you believe it to be! Lighting is something you want to mess around with, when you are wanting to take photography as a serious hobby. Start by pointing a flashlight at an object like lets say this cup.

Beatles Cup
Before y'all start jumping to conclusions. Those aren't my make up brushes, their my sisters. (thats what everyone says.) I started playing with light by pointing a flashlight at a cup and started changing the AV. You can change the AV by rolling the dial before the shutter button. Moving the AV up and down with change the amount of light you allow the camera to capture when taking a picture.

So before you start taking pictures for living make sure you know how to edit the picture on your camera before it comes out on your computer. Practicing this easy trick will put you on the right track!

Texture in a picture is one the hardest things to capture. Practice taking close up pictures and focusing on the part of the picture with the most texture. Spiderwebs are always the easiest subjects to capture with texture!

Animals, if you can get them to be still enough, are also great subjects to take pictures of.  Having texture in your pictures will set your photos apart from all the other photos that will are going to be taken. Which is your competition if you wanna take this full time.

Did they ever tell you your thumb was as big as the tree thats ten times taller than you??
As my teacher in middle school graced us with an inspiring lecture, he told us that no matter what we can be as big as we want. That naturally made me think of food.

When you aren't thinking about food and have a camera you can get some snazzy photos like these.
My hand is bigger than your bike

Toy cars

When you can get the angle right and the right amount of distance you can achieve these bigger than life pictures! Taking these kind of pictures are really great to entertain kids!

Graduation is a HUGE accomplishment. So in its right full way pictures need to be taken to remember the stress and coffee you absorb during college. In this post I am going to show you pictures of a 2016 graduate from UTRGV.  Who happens to be my best friend as well. (That doesn't mean I didn't charge her).

      My choice of tools were:
Canon Zoom Lens (75-300)

The worlds best camera.

Post 1

Two weeks after my first job ever, I made my way over to Walmart to use up my entire pay check to buy my first professional camera. It was three weeks later that I thought to myself I might have made a mistake. My SD card was overflowed with abstract shots of my horse and the plants outside my house. I was being the hipster I always imagined I could be. (even tho my camera was on auto)

While I thought this was the coolest thing ever. To my dismay had felt like I wasted my hard earned money. It was at that moment that I had decided to figure out what the knob on my camera did, other than make my pictures blurry.

The Knob.
If would find yourself wondering what the magic knob does. Come along with me as we find out what the knob is really for.
